Cobequid Education Centre in Truro, N.S., hosted its first-ever Mawio'mi — a Mi'kmaw gathering of culture and celebration. But this Mawio'mi was special: it was organized and hosted by the school's students. The CBC's Sis’moqon reports.

To further clarify frequently asked questions, we have included a youth age range, (18-34) and an elder age range (65+).

Along with an anticipated time commitment for monthly board meetings (2 hours), keeping in mind there will be prep/pre-reading along with these meetings, and other potential time commitments such as emails, and other short meetings as required.
