May 15, 2017
Millbrook First Nation, Nova Scotia - May 15, 2017
The Millbrook Band set plans to build a Cheese Curds/Habaneros Quick Service Restaurant in Millbrook’s Power Centre. The Restaurant will be owned/operated by the Millbrook Band, this restaurant will be the second franchise to come from the Chef Inspired Group of Restaurants.
The Franchise was born 5 years ago in Halifax, Nova Scotia as Cheese Curds! Habaneros was launched 4 1/2 months later. Over the last 3 years the Chef Inspired Group of Restaurants have been working to launch the franchise, the first franchise is set to launch within the next month in Oromocto, New Brunswick. The Millbrook location is the second franchise and is hoping to launch mid-September 2017!
The Chef Inspired Group of Restaurants is excited to launch this franchise and support Millbrook for the long haul towards success. The location of the Power Centre is exciting as it creates exposure for the franchise and the restaurant, the volume of traffic only adds value to this endeavour. “Cheese Curds/Habaneros is the type of food that should be along side the highway, quick service, quality food and quality ingredients allow us to be different in a way that is more then just coming in ordering food and eating it. It’s about customer service and making it an experience. Ensuring people want to return and that’s what we’re all about.” Bill Pratt - President & Chief Executive Officer
“We have been expanding the Power Centre, we are looking for ways of creating more employment opportunities, as our services continue to grow it only benefits our community as a whole” - Millbrook Chief Bob Gloade. The Cheese Curds/Habaneros offers a healthier quality, option which Millbrook is very proud to provide to the area. Millbrook is making history as this will be the first Cheese Curds/Habaneros franchise opened in a First Nation Community. It will be a new concept focusing on quality food for a reasonable price all while creating employment within the community, which is essential to the development of our Power Centre. This opportunity allows us to create capacity within our community and opportunity that benefits all community members as well as the surrounding area.< Back to news list
