The Future

The future is bright for the community of Millbrook and its people! A strategy is in place and being executed by the Band Council and administrative offices. 

Through increasing our skill sets, our knowledge we can transform our lives, secure better futures for ourselves, and take the future into the present by planning for it today! 

The economic initiatives of Millbrook First Nation have and will continue to create opportunities for our youth. We have recently announced the creation of Millbrook Technologies, a wholly owned company that will capitalize on the growth of the knowledge based economy and the opportunities it has created. We will pursue opportunities resulting from strategies that have been implemented by the Federal Government, such as the Aboriginal Industrial Benefits Program (AIRB’s) and the Aboriginal Procurement Strategy-Set a Side Program. We will build strategic alliances, like the one with General Dynamics, and become contributing partners in the acquisition and execution of federal procurement opportunities. We will continue to develop the Power Center and attract more business. 

We will build the capacity of our community and our people. Millbrook has and will continue to invest in training and preparing our people for gainful employment.
